StarTimes Uganda Premier League side Mbarara City Football Club are contemplating sacking their head coach Brian Ssenyondo following what they deem is failure to execute his duties at the club.

The youthful tactician, who has been in charge of the Ankole Lions since 2019 has missed all of his side’s six league matches this season due to National team engagements.

It’s is believed that Ssenyondo and the Mbarara City management sat in a meeting last week where the board allegedly pledged to support to the coach in his endeavors despite the team’s poor this season, winning none of their opening six game without him.

But in a same meeting, Ssenyondo was warned against being absent on Matchdays and was told if he misses any more games before the Uganda Cubs fly out to Morocco for the AFCON U17 finals in March, he would be sacked instantly.

Ssenyondo was still no where to be seen when Mbarara City lost their first home league game this season, a 1-0 to Wakiso Giants at the Kakyeka Stadium, Mbarara on Friday evening.

Today Mbarara City will play Kitara at the Kavumba Recreation Center, Wakiso and Touchline Sports sources can confirm if Ssenyondo misses today’s game, he will be served with his sack letter
