Mawa succeeds Lutalo as Onduparaka head coach

Former Somalia National team and Doves All-Stars head coach Haruna Mawa has been named as George Lutalo’s successor in the role of head coach at Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka FC.

This was confirmed on Monday morning on the club’s social media platforms after the experienced CAF A licensed tactician put pen to paper on one-year renewable contract.

Lutalo left the Caterpillars midway last season which prompted his assistant Dudu Bosco to take charge of the team on interim basis until the end of the season.

Mawa is a former KCCA FC and Rayon Sports player and managed SC Victoria University in 2015 before switching to the Somalia National Football team in 2016. He has also managed at Aziz Damani All Stars and Adjumani Town Council FC.

Onduparaka, who finished ninth on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League log with 37 points garnered in 30 games.
