Lutalo shown the door

Crested Cranes head coach George Lutalo and his entire backroom staff have been shown the door   according to results that came out of the the 27th FUFA Exco meeting convened on Wednesday 31st August 2022 at FUFA House, Mengo.

In a statement released on the FUFA website on Tuesday morning, this was among the decisions agreed upon as confirmed in the development this Tuesday morning.

The now ex Uganda Crested Cranes Coach manager, Lutalo had a 5 man backroom staff of Edward Kaziba (assistant coach), James Magala (goalkeeping coach), Paul Ssali (team Manager), Mable Kabatalindwa (Team doctor) and Prossy Nalwadda (Equipment Manager)

The coaching staff for were appointed for given assignments that ended with the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco.

The FUFA Executive Committee declared that the positions of the technical team of Crested Cranes have fallen vacant following the completion of their assignment for which they were appointed that ended with the WAFCON Finals in Morocco,
The statement read.

FUFA will declare as and when the application process for the vacant positions starts, it concluded.

Achievements in the one year.

The former Onduparaka head coach had replaced Farida Bulega who was said to have gone to add on her coaching linceses in Kenya last year, going on to win the 2022 CECAFA Senior Women’s championship in Njeru.

He also helped the team qualify for 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco for the first time in 22 years where he didn’t exceed the group stage but it was a success since it had been so long and the experience was new to the girls.

In this exco meeting, it was also agreed that the Crested Cranes will be in search of a coach with a CAF B coaching course in Kenya.
