KCCA FC have confirmed that experienced defender Hassan Muhamud will remain at the club after signing a one-year contract extension.

The versatile defender, whose previous deal expired at the end of the 2025/26 season, has committed his future to the Lugogo-based side for at least another campaign as the club continues preparations for the new season.

Confirming the extension on Friday, KCCA said:

“KCCA FC has secured the future of versatile defender Hassan Muhamud, who has put pen to paper on a one-year contract extension.”

Muhamud expressed his delight at staying with the 13-time Uganda Premier League champions, revealing that his discussions with the head coach convinced him to continue at the club.

“I am delighted to extend my stay with KCCA FC. I have a good relationship with the head coach, and he has shared his plans with me. I am certain that we can achieve so much as a unit. The club has fantastic players, and this kind of competition keeps every player on their toes, which is healthy for all of us.”

The defender joined KCCA in 2024 following a spell in Tanzania, where he featured for Geita Gold and Mbeya City. Before moving abroad, Muhamud established himself in the Uganda Premier League with spells at Express FC, SC Villa, Police FC and Onduparaka FC.

His renewal provides continuity and valuable experience to KCCA’s defensive unit as the Kasasiro Boys look to challenge strongly in the 2026/27 season.
