Ivan Mayanja: attacking midfielder completes move to Express FC


Attackring midfielder Ivan Mayanja has completed a move to the six-time Uganda Premier League champions Express FC from Kampala Regional League side, CATDA.

The youngster has been unveiled this Monday afternoon as a  Red Eagle, putting pen to paper on a three-year employment contract.

“I am happy to have signed for express FC,” Mayanja told the club website during his unveiling.

“It’s a club I’ve always wanted to join and now, that’s done and the work starts immediately. I am ready to help the team achieve the desired goal which is winning silverware,” he added.

Mayanja, a product of Proline Soccer Academy played an integral part as CATDA made it to the Regional League promotional playoff finals for a spot in next Season’s StarTimes FUFA Big League last week, only to lose to Luwero United.

He becomes Wasswa Bbosa’s 18th signing ahead of the upcoming 2020/21 StarTimes UPL season.
