I am happy to score my first league goal – Nagadya

On Saturday morning, Uganda Martyrs Lubaga was on immense fire as they collected their fourth win of their 2022/23 FUFA Women Super campaign.

Kevin Nakacwa, Latifah Nakasi, Catherine Nagadya and Sumaiyah Nalumu were the goal scorers of the day as the Lubaga side put up a 4-1 scoreline against UCU Lady Cardinals who have only managed one goal in their last two games.

Latifah Nakasi (L) and Brenda Muyana (R) celebrating the second goal.

This has been a dream season for a number of the girls in the team but most notably Kevin Nakacwa and Latifah Nakasi who have scored 9 goals all together.

Kevin Nakacwa has scored 4 goals and Latifah Nakasi 5 goals so far this ongoing season helping the side edge log leaders Kampala Queens by a goal this season.

Uganda Martyrs have scored 14 and Kampala Queens 13 goals who play their match day 6 game against Olila High school at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Sunday.

Above all the goals scored by High school girls this season, there is a unsung hero in Catherine Nagadya who has been consistent enough in the League from the time she left She Makerere.

The Uganda Martyrs Captain this season has a total of six assists and one goal to her name in six games, an outstanding statistic that pushes her top of the assist chat.

In a small chat with the Club media after game, a delightful Nagadya says she was happy to score her first goal of the campaign ;

I’m happy to score my first league goal and to help my team to win the game.” she said.

The Lubaga side complete match day six in 2nd position on the Log with 13 points two behind leaders Kampala Queens and one above 3rd placed UCU Lady Cardinals.
