Heathens face Pirates in the Uganda Cup Semis


Hima Heathens will face off with Black Pirates this Sunday in the Semi-finals of the Uganda cup at Kings park arena in Bweyogerere.

Athio Muhammad’s side defeated Makerere Impis 40-10 in their Uganda cup round of 16 tie before putting 36 points past struggling Warriors in the quarter-finals. The Black Pirates humililated Kisubi Pacers 67-0 in their opener before going on to defeat Rhinos 29-8 on Saturday in Bweyogerere to make the semis.

In the other Semi-finals, last year’s winners, Betway Kobs will face off with Plascon Mongers in the last kickoff of the Semi-finals games at Kings park arena, Bweyogerere.

Betway Kobs swept aside Mbale Elephants 93-0 in their opener in Mbale before their 34-3 win over the Hippos on Saturday at Legends rugby Grounds in Kampala.

On the other hand, Mongers defeated Walukuba Barbarians 60-0 in their Opener before their hand-fought 18-13 win over Buffaloes in Entebbe to seal their semi-finals slot in this year’s rugby Uganda Cup.

Elsewhere in the Shield cup,
Rams takes on Sailors while Kyambogo will battle out with Impis to find out who books his place in the finals.

All games will take place this Sunday, 9th November 2019 at King’s park grounds in Bweyogerere.
