Former SC Villa captain Gavin Kizito Mugweri has returned to the club on a two-year contract as a free agent.
He was previously plying his trade at Egyptian side Al-Ittihad Club of Alexandria where his contract was mutually terminated.
The centre back who was turned into right back has had offers from different clubs but has decided a return to his former home,a move that will help him relaunch his career.
At Sports Club Villa, he will be a direct replacement for Gift Fred who left for Young Africans this summer.
Villa have also added a couple of names like Elvis Ngonde and Abassi Kyeyune who are yet to unveiled officially despite agreeing terms.
They will kickstart their 2023/24 Startimes Uganda Premier League campaign at home against New comers Kitara FC on Friday 15th September 2023 at the Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
