Futsal Super League: Big Talent, Park secure last two semifinal slots

The 2021 Futsal Super League continued on Saturday morning with matchday six at the Old Kampala Sports Arena. Two semi-finals slots were up for grabs and by the end of the day, Big Talent SA and Park FC had secured them with convincing results.

Here is a wrap of all the Matchday six action;

In the first game of the day, Kaye Ronald was on target five times to help Big Talent secure a semi-final slot after they defeated log leaders Mengo FC 7-4.

Kaye had three goals in the first half to propel his side to a 4-2 lead at the break before he added more two in the second half. Brothers, Farouk Tumwesigye and Faizo Wabyona netted the other two for the Academy side.

Three of Mengo’s goals were netted by Mayanja Saidi to take his tally to ten goals in six games.

With the win, Big Talent secured their semi-final slot and will battle it out with Synergy for a place in the finals.

Mango, who have lost their first game this season finish the regular season top of the Albert Nile group with 13 points.

In the second game of the day, Park FC secured their semi-final slot after they were 4-0 winners over Yeak Kabowa with Abas Junior and Saidi Kabogoza netting braces.

Park will now battle with Mengo FC in the semi-finals.

With nothing to play for in their last game, Aidenal SOSA defeated winless Kampala Junior Team FC 4-2. Kavuma Marvin, Kalanzi Denis, Thomas Kakaire and Oyalo Fabiano were target for Aidenal while Ssempira Emmanuel and Dan Wagaluka netted for KJT on the losing end.

In the last game of the day, Synergy maintained their unbeaten run this season after they ended Kisenyi FC semi-finals hope with a 5-2 victory.

Travis Mutyaba continued his impressive form for Synergy, netting a hat-trick to take his tally to 11 goals in 5 games. Yasin Sabir and Othieno Raymond were also on target for Synergy.

Avemah Shafiq and Abdikadir Ibrahim were on target for Kisenyi on the losing effort.

The league will now break off for two weeks as next weekend, the Futsal Uganda Cup will commence.
