The Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations has released fixtures for the first round of the 2023 National Basketball League.
8-time defending champions City Oilers will be in action on the opening night against KIU Titans in the men’s top tier division in a game that will be preceded by a women’s clash between UCU Lady Canons and JKL Lady Dolphins
The league will tip-off on Friday, 17th March and the first round will end on May 21.
Both the Men’s and women’s division will have 12 teams each this season which is contrary to the few recent season when the Women’s division had only 10 teams.
The first round of the 2023 NBL will be played on three arenas which include Lugogo Indoor Stadium, YMCA and ABJA Park
Back to the opening weekend fixtures, new entrants in the Men’s division Rezlife Saints will take on Power while Ndejje University will battle KCCA Panthers.
Both City Oilers and KIU Titans will play two games on the opening weekend. The Oilers will play Kampala Rockets in their second game while Titans will battle JKL Dolphins.
