Twelve Ugandan basketball players have been summoned by the Team Uganda Management to represent the country at the upcoming FIBA 3X3 U23 Nations League in Kenya.
The 12 players who include six women and six men will take part in the tournament scheduled for July 11-16 at Nyayo Stadium Handball Court in Nairobi.
Coaches Nicholas Natuhereza and Jonathan Egau will handle the two Ugandan team in Kenya.
‘We are excited to finally be back on the 3X3 international competition stage after missing out the last two years”Natuhereza said before adding.
“We have been preparing since last week and I believe we are in a position to put on a good show and qualify for the next round”
The Ugandan contingent will fly out on Saturday July 9, 2022.

Men: Peter Obleng, Ahmed Kasa, Edgar Munaba, Fayed Bbale, Rogers Dauna, Daniel Muganzi
Women: Becky Longom, Perus Nyamwenge, Shakira Nanvubya, Agatha Kamwanda, Mary Amaniyo, Thelma Toskin.
About the FIBA 3X3 U23 Nations League
The FIBA 3×3 U23 Nations League is a FIBA 3×3 national team competition for men and women under the age of 23 launched in 2017. 2021 marks the 4th edition.
It offers an opportunity for future talents to hone their skills in preparation for the open category (FIBA 3×3 World Cup, Olympic Games, etc.)
National federations participating in the program must enrol 1 team per gender to each stop of the FIBA 3×3 U23 Nations League.
