The Uganda Rugby Cranes were beaten thrice on the matchday one of the Emirates Invitational 7s tournament.

The team were pitted in the Red Pool and lost their games in the group,  losing to Argentina 38-14 in the opener where Phillip Wokorach and Michael Wokorach scored the two tries for the Cranes.

In the second game, Uganda took the lead through Nobert Okeny’s try but Japan made a wonderful recovery to win 40-05.
