Former Busoga United and Cranes defender Isaac Isinde was on target for Hadiya Hossana as they defeated Adama Kenema 3-1 at the Addis Ababa Stadium to go top of the Ethiopian Premier League. Isinde opened the scoring in the 36th minute of the game with a slight touch off Fofana’s header.
In England, Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru finally got his first goal for Wycombe Wanderers despite his side losing 3-1 loss to Middlesbrough in the English Championship. Mubiru struck in the 3rd minute of the game but his goal wasn’t enough to prevent his side from losing.
Still in the English championship, Youngster Jayden Onen didn’t make the match-day squad as his Reading F.C side came from behind to defeat Huddersfield 2-1.
In the English League One, Jordan Obita came on in the 75th minute for Shodipo and helped Oxford United to a 5-1 mauling of Burton Albion.
In Scotland, Bevis Mugabi started and featured full-time as Motherwell FC suffered a 3-0 loss to Hamilton Academical in Scottish Premiership.
In Israel, Kizito William Luwagga started and featured full-time for Happoel Kfar Saaba as they drew 1-all with Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Israeli Premier league.
In South Africa, Denis Onyango started in goal for Mamelodi Sundowns and helped the Brazilians to a narrow 1-0 win over Orlando Pirates in the DStv Premiership.
In Egypt, Khalid Aucho started and played full-time for El Makkasa who claimed a 3-1 win over Ismaily SC in the Egyptian Premier League.
Derrick Nsibambi was an unused substitute for Smouha SC who played out to a goalless draw with Ceramica Cleopatra.
In German, Herbert Bockhorn was a second half substitute for VfL Bochum as they claimed a 2-1 win over Darmstadt In the Bundesliga 2.
In Kenya, Hashim Ssempala started and helped Tusker FC to a 1-all draw with Sofapaka in the Kenya Premier League.
