Diaspora: Luwagga Kizito inspires Hapoel Kfar past Tel Aviv

Ugandan winger William Luwagga Kizito scored the winning goal as his side, Hapoel Kfar Saba edged past Hapoel Tel Aviv 2-1 in the Israel Premier league Match day 1 encounter at the Levita Stadium.

The 26-year old started the match and in the 79th minute tapped the ball into the back of the net after Omer Fadida first half strike was cancelled out by Tel Aviv’s Omri Atman in the 68th minute.

Luwagga has now scored 4 goals in 5 games, with 3 of them coming in the Israel Toto Cup where Hapoel Kfar finished in 8th place.

Hapoel Kfar Saba now sits third on the log having collected maximum points in their first match of the season and will play M. Petach-Tikva next Saturday.

Elsewhere, Fahad Bayo made his debut as his Ashdod SC side lost 2-0 to Ironi Kiryat Shmona. The Ugandan forward came on in the 79th minute for Dean David.
