Denis Iguma: former Victoria University defender joins KCCA FC

Former Sports Club Villa defender and Cranes International Denis Iguma has joined thirteen-time League winners  KCCA FC.

Denis Iguma who has been out of action for over eighteen-months after sustaining an injury while playing for Kazma Sports Club in the Kuwaiti Premier League joins the Kasairo Boys on a two-year deal subject to renewal.

Iguma played for SC Villa and SC Victoria University before joining professional ranks with Al-Ahed SC, Bekaa and Kazma SC has also featured for the Cranes since 2014 when Serbian coach handed him the first call up.

According to sources close to the player, Guma will be placed as a central defender as per Mike Mutebi’s plans of finding a more experienced replacement for John Revita who is expected to be out of action for more than six months.

Iguma joins the likes of Ashraf Mugume, Charles Lwanga, and Loro Mazzengo who have already joined the Lugogo based side ahead of the 2020/21 StarTimes UPL.

Meanwhile, KCCA FC is also rumored to be courting  Police FC’s Andrew Samson Kigozi (Police), Brian Aheebwa (Mbarara City), Pius Obuya (Maroons) and Isma Mugulusi (Busoga United).

The Club is also expected to land the services of Uganda Cranes and Proline FC attacking midfielder Bright Anukani who extended his stay at the relegated club, on loan.
