Busoga United: We wish Tongo Po well

StarTimes Uganda Premier League side Busoga United FC has wished the Midfield maestro David ‘Tong Po’ Bagoole well in his next endeavors.

Busoga United and Bagoole mutually agreed to terminate their relationship which had just a few months left (till December).

As per the press release from Busoga United, club CEO, Andrew Ndyabahika, describes Bagoole as a “son of the land”.

“Bagoole David is synonymous with this club, as a player and a son of the land, and that will never change.” he said of the departing midfielder.

“He is quiet simply a Busoga United FC great, having helped transform the identity and history of the club.”

“I, the club President DHT Nyago and the board’s gratitude and appreciation for Busoga’s achievements cannot and will never be underestimated.”

Ndyabahika says the decision was reached on after several weeks of discussions between the two parties.

“A decision like this cannot be taken lightly, which is why this has been discussed together at length over the past few weeks. It is even harder given our close friendship.”

“We wish Tongo Po well for whatever the future holds and hope he enjoys some much deserved and well-earned time with his prospective football family.”

Bagoole joined Busoga United in 2018 and was the club’s best player last season, notching in two goals and five assists as well as helping Busoga United clinch 4th place, the club’s best finish in UPL.

It’s highly believed that Bagoole has agreed a two-year contract with the StarTimes UPL champions Vipers SC.

He will become the fourth player to join the Venoms who have already completed the signing of Jamil Kalisa, Disan Galiwango and Ibrahim Orit.
