Promotion favourites Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA) makes a long trip to StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo to clash horns with relegation threatened Katwe United in the Matchday 12 of the StarTimes FUFA Big league on Thursday evening.
The Tororo based side sit atop of the Elgon group with 20 points garnered in 10 games while the Kampala “TuliBanyiivu” side are rock bottom with 8 points in 10 gamed also.
MYDA would hope to bounce back to winning ways after drawing their last game 1-all at home against Saviours FC while the Allan Kabonge’s coached side lost 2-0 to Light SS in Soroti, with both games played on Sunday evening.
The reverse fixture in the first leg ended 2-0 in favour of MYDA. Ibra Nsimbe scored the two goals in the first half at the Elgon View playground.
A win for MYDA FC would cement their position at the top of the log with 23 points, 6 ahead of second placed Kiboga Young FC while A win for Katwe United would take the side to 11 points, level with 8th placed Light SSS FC.
Elsewhere, Bukedea Town Council FC will host Paidha Black Angels FC at the Emokori grounds in Bukedea
Bukedea sit 4th on 13 points while Paidha are 7th on 12 points
