Anyone can bring home a medal – Tukamuhebwa

The Uganda Boxing National team (The Bombers) are set to leave for Yaounde, Cameroon where they will take part in the Africa Elite Women and Men’s Championship.

With the team already in Camp, the Bombers head Coach Twaib Mayanja has always been delightful of the lads quality arguing that they just need polishing.

All that he(head coach) said was no different from what the team Captain Joshua Tukamuhebwa complimented on adding that anyone in camp can bring home a medal;

Tukamuhebwa competing at the Commonwealth games in Birmingham, England.

“With the shape the lads are in it’s possible anyone can bring home a medal”

“Anyone who brings the medal home, well and good because I see any one can.”

“The advantage is that we have a full team where if you have done well you expect a maximum of seven or six medals”

The team that has 17 boxers( 11 boys and 6 girls)”is expected to travel this week as the tournament is expected to start on 25th July and climax on August 6th.

Uganda will participate in the $1,000,000 competition with 35 other African countries.
