Uganda national swimming team secured a top finish at the 8th edition of the Africa Aquatic Zone III swimming championships held in Kigali Rwanda.

All members of team Uganda holding their trophy high.

Uganda topped the ten participating countries both in the women and the men categories to finsh first on the table with a combined team score of 3,206 points.

Unlike the previous edition where Tanzania took home the shine this time round the Ugandan swimmers found tooth and nail to lure the East African nations (Tanzania and Kenya) to finnishing second and third respectively.

For the hosts of Rwanda, they settled for a fourth place.
