Acholi secures a point for a slot in the semis


Acholi province came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Bukedi. A draw was enough for Acholi to secure the last slot in the semifinals of the FUFA drum tournament.

Bukedi scored in the 12th minute of the game courtesy of Ibra Nsimbe but Isaac Otto equalized for Acholi at the full to capacity Pece stadium.

The man of the match award went to Patrick Wafula a goalkeeper for Bukedi for his brilliance display.

The other game played in Group A was at the Akii Bua Stadium between Buganda and Tooro. Buganda the defending champions managed to secure the first win of the quarterfinals group stages as they defeated Tooro 1-0. Buganda’s goal was scored by Paul Ssekulima.

The semifinals will be played on the weekend of 7th and 8th December 2019
The first semifinal will be between Bugisu and Acholi at Pece Stadium in Gulu on Saturday 7th December 2019.

The second semifinal game will be between Lango and Bukedi at the Akii Bua stadium in Lira on Sunday 8th December 2019.
