We are set witness another epic final St Mary’s Kitende and Amus final after both teams got into the assured medal stage at Mbale Stadium on Sunday.
Farouq Tumwesigye powered the reigning FEASSA boys football champions, St.Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende (SMASK) to the final of the 2024 Championship.
The Kitende side cruised edged Kenya’s Musingu Secondary School 1-0 in the first semifinal of the day.
With 12 minutes to finish the game, Tumwesigye scored the only goal of the game for the 15-time East Africa champions.
In the other semi-final, Amus College cruises past their neighbours and co-hosts Bukedea Comprehensive 2-0 to set up a second consecutive East Africa final with Kitende.
With the brilliance, of the former St Andrews Gombe forward Bashir Mansoor, who played in the 10 position unlike their previous game, Busulwa Davis netted Amus’ first goal of the day.

Going forward in the second half, substitute Ijosiga Mudasir scored the second for Amus against ten men Bukedea Comprehensive who had Emmanuel Mubiru was sent off two minutes into the game.

SMASK will be hoping to clinch thier 16th East Africa title as Amus target revenge after getting to known who is going to secure third place between Bukedea and Kenya’s Musingu.
St Mary’s Kitende are also in the Netball finals where they will face Kawanda SS.

In the girls football played at Amus College, St Noa went through to the final after edging
Amus College School 2-1.
Abwolimana Esperance and Sylvia Kabene are the two players who netted for St Noa Girls while Opisa Shaylne scored Amus College’s consolation.

They will face Butere Girls who also secured their spot in the Final after a 1-0 win over Nyakach Girls.
St Noa Girls too beat SMASK in the basketball 3*3 semi-final by 5 points (20-15) to meet Butere Girls who beat St Joseph’s girls H/S 18-14.
Despite missing out on the 3*3 basketball girls final, SMASK managed to beat Buddo SS 51-32.
