Vipers SC strengthened their title charge in the Uganda Premier League with a commanding 3-0 victory over Entebbe UPPC at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
After a goalless first half in which both sides created chances, the hosts took control immediately after the break. Yunus Sentamu opened the scoring five minutes into the second half, heading home from a corner delivered by Karim Watambala.
Sentamu doubled the lead in the 77th minute, finishing off a well-worked move assisted by Enock Ssebagala to complete his brace. Substitute Gusto Mulongo then made an instant impact, scoring just three minutes after coming on with a tidy finish from Enock Luyima’s cross.
The victory lifts Vipers to 58 points, extending their lead at the top to seven points and underlining their consistency in a tightly contested title race. Rivals KCCA FC, Kitara FC and SC Villa remain in pursuit, but the Venoms continue to set the pace as the season enters its final stretch.
Vipers next face KCCA in a potentially decisive clash, while Entebbe UPPC will look to recover in their upcoming fixture against Calvary FC.
