Vipers director Kitandwe sanctioned for use of offensive language

Viper Sports Club director, Thadeus Kitandwe has been fined by the FUFA Ethnics Committee Adjudicatory Chambers for using language deemed offensive towards FIFA referee Shamirah Nabadda.

Kitendwe’s case arises from an incident during a StarTimes Uganda Premier League match between Wakiso Giants and Vipers SC at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium,Wakiso on 6th March in which a player from his team was sent off for ‘reportedly’ using offensive language against the referee after she had halted play for a handball.

Kitandwe took to his Facebook page and wrote a statement describing Shamirah  as a “Bumless chic” and also stated that what had been witnessed was a match fixing act (Kakati Ono bwataba betting then what) which is against Article 21 of the FUFA Ethics code.

Before producing the final verdict, the chamber took into account the fact that Mr. Kitandwe took down his Facebook post and apologized for his social media comments.

Thaddeus has been fined UGX 500,000/= which he should pay within 14 days, else face a 6 months ban from all Football related activities.

Kitandwe remains defiant and still willing to prove that the word ‘bumless’ is not foul language as ‘FUFA claims’.
