Victoria Pearls have been Flagged to the 2024 T20 Women’s Global World Cup qualifiers to be held on the April 25th to 2nd May in Abu Dhabi.
This is the second time Uganda will be taking part in T20 women’s Global Qualifier, the team’s first being held in 2019 hosted by Netherlands.
A contingent of 26 with 15 players on it and 9 officials traveling to play a build up match against UAE on 21st April and Vanuatu on 23rd before playing their opener .
The Ladies will play against Scotland on 25th April night at Tolarance Oval has been flagged off on Thursday at Lugogo sports Complex.
Uganda will play more games on 27th April during day taking on USA at ZCS then playagainst Thailand at Tolarance Oval in the night cricket action on 29th April and lastly playing Sri Lanka on 1st May at ZCS during day.
Uganda has to finish in the top two places in order to qualify to the next stage.
At the Flag off ceremony held at NCS, Lugogo on Thursday, Team captain Janet Mbabazi appeared positive from the preparation they have had
