UPL: Reason why the game between Mbarara City and Mbale Heroes was postponed

Mbarara City was supposed to host their Uganda Premier League game against Mbale Heroes at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara on Friday 22nd November 2024.

However the game was postponed to Saturday 23rd November 2024 because the ground is set to hold an event two days earlier on Thursday 21st. November.

This was put to light by the UPL Secretariat in a letter released on Tuesday 19th November

“The UPL Secretariat has recelved a leter from Mbarara City FC notifying us that Kakyeka stadium has been booked for another event on Thursday 21st November 2024 and wouldn’t bereadily prepared to host a match on Friday 22nm November 2024.” The letter read

“They requested the match be brought forward by a day. Accordingly, the Secretariat has considered Mbarara City FC request and adjusted the date for the Mbarara City FC Vs Mbale Heroes FC match from Friday 22nd November 2024 to Saturday 23 November 2024 at Kakyeka Stadium-Mbarara(4:00pm).” It concluded

However Uganda Premier League Match Day 9 action returns on Wednesday 20th November 2024 as Police Football Club host Lugazi FC in Kavumba at 4 pm.

Friday 22nd Nov

  • Mbarara City Vs Mbale Heroes – Kakyeka Stadium
  • SC Villa Vs Wakiso Giants – Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku
