Two Uganda Premier League sides that host their games on the same grounds locked horns on Tuesday evening as Police Football Club played host to Bright stars.
Game ended in a one – all draw as Isaac Ogwang’s first half goal for the Cops was cancelled out by a Noordin Saddic Bunjo later on in the second half.
Ogwang broke the deadlock a minute past the half hour mark with a fine placing of the ball past the keeper after a beautiful assist by Dennis Kalanzi.
Towards the end of the second half, ten minutes past the hour mark Bunjo leveled matters after Ashiraf Mulindi beat his marker on the flank to deliver a ball in the area where the goalkeeper spilled the ball into the midfielder’s feet.
However on Police’s side, the situation shifted from bad to was when Bukenya got sent off for an early shower with another bookable offence on Bunjo, ending the game in nail biting action for the hosts.
The two sides shared spoils to extend wait for their maiden league victory therefore Police go to 3 points in three games while Bright Stars are on 2 out of the three.
In their next game, Police will pay a visit to Kitara in Buteme on Thursday 3rd October while Bright Stars will host KCCA in Kavumba on the first day of October.
