Cosia Waiswa scored his second goal of the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League campaign to edge Bright Stars in Mbale on Thursday evening.
Waiswa’s goal came in the second half, nine minutes after restart inorder to give head coach Asaph Mwebaze his first win since his return to the Club.
This is Mbale Heroes second win of the season, their first coming against SC Villa earlier in the season.
For Bright Stars, they lose their second under interim Coach Ian Mutenda and six all season just like hosts Mbale Heroes.
The result leaves both sides in the relegation zone, Mbale in 14th with 8 points, two more that Bright Stars who stay bottom.
In their next games, Mbale Heroes will visit Kitara at the Royal Park on Friday 6th December as Bright stars host Vipers in Kavumba the next day.
