Ivan Asaba was the hero as Maroons FC their second win away at Kavumba, this time against Police FC on a Thursday evening.
Maroons earlier came to his spot and collects a victory from Bright Stars in the Uganda Premier League.
Asaba netted at brace in the game, scoring in either half after Isaac Ogwang was had given hosts, Police a lead just 7 minutes into the game.
Ogwang’s 7th minute came through a finish off a Mugume Emmanuel assist, however Asaba drew first blood for the Prison men to level matters through the spot after the goal scorer was brought down two mintes to the half hour mark.

After the restart, Asaba added the visitors’ second 9 minutes into the closing half to edge the Cops and seal off a much needed win.
The result takes Maroons to 6th above Police (now 7th) with 19 points two more than the Cops.
In their next games, Police will host KCCA in Kavumba on 27th December as Maroons too welcome Mbale Heroes on the same date.
The other game of the day saw Ivan Ahimbisibwe his goal tally to 9 when he netted to take URA past Lugazi at home in Nakivubo where two brothers met on the Touchline.
