UPL: Ahimbisibwe hits Cloud 9 as URA end Lugazi’s 8 match unbeaten run

Current League top scorer Ivan Ahimbisibwe’s low shot past Lugazi FC’s goalie Emuran Fahad ensured URA FC’s 6th win of the season ending matchday 13 with a 1-0 win at home in Nakivubo on Thursday.

A game highlighted by the family ties between two Brothers Alex Isabirye and Steven Bogere who are headcoaches of URA and Lugazi respectively, Isabirye who’s the younger of the two took victory.

The win takes URA to 21points and now in 4th place, 6points shy of table leaders NEC FC and Ahimbisibwe’s 9th goal of the season to keep him top of the scoring chats.

Lugazi are 12th on the table, 4 points away from the relegation zone. Next, they face BUL on boxing day while URA face defending Champions SC Villa on Christmas eve.

In the other game played today, Maroons FC’s Ivan Asaba netted a brace as his side came from a goal behind to pick up a 1:2 away win to Police FC who initially led with Isaac Ogwang’s header in Kavumba.
