The Uganda Premier League match day 17 will see bottom placed Mbale Heroes (Surgeons) start an early surge in their battle to survive relegation as the host Police FC at Mbale Municipal Stadium.

With just nine points on the log, the Surgeons have struggled to cope up with the levels in the top flight football through management and playing staffs which has seen them managing just two wins and three draws in the 17 games they have played so far.

Against Police FC who sit in the 13th position on the log with 19 points which is one place above relegation places, Mbale Heroes have a chance to put up a chase on the 10 points difference if at all they are to survive relegation.

Police FC under the guidance of coach Simon Peter Mugerwa come into this tie with their targets set on maximum points after a momentum boost of a Uganda Cup win against fellow top league side Solitilo Bright Stars by a 2-0 score which saw them progress to the round of 16.

A first leg 2-1 victory is also a major boost as the Cops will be eager to complete a double against Police FC who have a poor defense in the league which has let in the most goals totaling to 29 goals in the league.
