Uganda Martyrs Bugerere FC away to Buikwe in their Buganda Region league opener

Uganda Martyrs Bugerere Football Club will start its 2019/20 Buganda Region League campaign on the road to Buikwe Red Stars in Buikwe.

The Buganda Region League kicked off yesterday with Lugazi Municipal winning the opening fixture against Butema Soccer Masters 6-0 in Lugazi. The match also had Aisha Ssemambo officiating her last game as a FUFA referee as she sets sight on football administration in her next journey.

Uganda Martyrs Bugerere FC will have to battle against Busula SC, Free Stars FC, Lugazi Municipal FC, Kampala University FC, Butema SC, Simba FC, Kiwanga United FC, Kira United FC, Luwero United FC, Seeta United FC and
Buikwe Red Stars FC with whom they are in the Ssezibwa Group if they are to realize their dream of being promoted to the FUFA Big League next season.

Hamid Kibirango is determined to push the team to the next level and believes they are ready to battle at the next level, the FUFA Big League.

I believe our team is ready to feature in the Big League. However, there is a lot that we shall have to work around if we are to qualify this season.The group (Ssezibwa) has many teams that have been playing at this level and it’s a tough task to set the target of qualification, but am positive we will battle our way through.
