Uganda has been seeded in the second pot ahead of the 2023 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship groupstages draws on Saturday, October 1, 2022 in Algiers, the capital city of Algeria.
Alongside Uganda in Pot 2 are Congo Brazzaville, Libya, Angola and Sudan.
The defending champions, Morocco, hosts Algeria, Cameroon, Mali and DR Congo are in Pot 1.
While Pot 3 consists of Niger, Cote D’Ivoire, Mauritania, Ethiopia, Senegal, Ghana, Mozambique and Madagascar.
Uganda advanced to next year’s tournament after dispatching Tanzania 4-0 on aggregate in the final qualifying round.
The 2023 AFCON finals tournament will place in Algeria next year between 14th January and 3rd February, 2023.
