Uganda Boxing Federation receive sponsorship deal ahead of the 2022 Commonwealth games

Top Boy Promotions and Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) brought forward a new sponsor in Sting energy drink to partner for Uganda Boxing Champions League(UBCL) .

The energy drink makers that have partnered with boxer Manny Pacquio internationally before will invest USD75,000 (285M-Ugandan Shillings) in terms of branding, venue and fight night activations for a two year contract period meaning that the deal will expire in 2024.

The Uganda Boxing Champions league (UBCL),a competition of the top four boxers in each of the eleven boxing categories was slated to be played for a year and is in its 15th Fight week having started in December last year (2021)  will come to a stop in December 2022.

Uganda Boxing Federation President Moses Muhangi also came out to say that;

Champions league was a new idea which was naively opposed by some people, I am happy that today we move the league to another level, I am happy to announce that all the boxing stakeholders will benefit from this partnership

The Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) have used the UBCL to also select the ‘The Bombers’ to represent Uganda at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
