Week 16 of the Uganda Boxing Champions League returns this Saturday 2nd December at the NCS Arena in Lugogo as Yusuf Nkobeza faces Ronald Okello in the main fight.
Nkobeza is set to comeback with huge determination after a long period of time out of the ring with an aim of topping the the middle 75Kgs elite weight category by the end of the Uganda Boxing Champions League season two.
Appearing on Friday at the face off, Nakawa boxing club’s Nkobeza labeled himself ready for tomorrow’ action;
“I have enough preparations and ready for tomorrow’s action, all my fans should come and enjoy the fight against Okello”
On his target the 2022 USPA award winner added that;
“My target is to become number one in the middle weight category and am just one win away to achieving this and return to the National team”
On the other hand, Gulu Boxing Club’s finest Okello says he’s mastered Nkobeza’s weaknesses,
“Nkobeza is a good boxer with powerful punches but i have now mastered all his weaknesses” he said
Adding, “This is a huge boost to me as i have been training hard to see that i take him down with my target being winning this years title.”
In the other fights of the day, Heavy weight Geko Solomon from Lukanga Boxing Club will face his team mate Kiseka Noordin from in the super heavy weight (92kg)
Wasswa Ssali aka Kisolosolo also from Lukanga will face Onen Jafar from the East Coast in light weight elite 60kg.
In the women, Kololo’s Nabikolo Fatuma will be versing Najjemba Shadia from Lukanga Boxing Club in the bantam weight 54 kg as Salimah Ibrahim from Mutajjazi will play against Lukanga’s Akankunda marion in bantam weight youth 54kg.
However the evening will start off with the finals of the 2023 Uganda Boxing Novice finals.
