International Business, Science and Technology University (ISBAT) clinched their first-ever win in the Pepsi University Football League, defeating Busitema University 4-1 in their final Group A fixture on Wednesday.
Despite an early setback when Dinya Joseph put the hosts ahead in the second minute, ISBAT responded emphatically.
Captain Ssentongo Joshua equalized just before halftime, setting the stage for a dominant second half.
Goals from Kalema Ashraf (62’), Jogolo Yahaya (78’), and Katende Bahir (90+4’) sealed ISBAT’s historic victory.
Elsewhere in Group A, defending champions Nkumba University and IUIU played out a goalless draw.
ISBAT who failed to win a match last season, finished with four points while IUIU topped the group with 12, followed by Nkumba (11) and Busitema (6).
