Two relegation threatened sides in Police FC and SC Villa meet in a survival for the fitest encounter at the Phillip Omondi Stadium in the StarTimes Uganda on Monday.
The two sides have had very close contests which have seen them with two 1-0 wins in 2021 and 2018 in favor of The Jogoos and sharing the spoils on six occasions in their last meetings.
Depending on either sides current form, the signs point towards yet a stalemate between the two sides.
Police FC have not had a win in their last seven league games, losing four times and drawing the rest while the Jogoos have won thrice, lost thrice and drawn one in their last eight leagues.
This will be John Luyindi’s second game in charge if the Cops as he will look forward to revive the side’s fighting spirit in order to get the team back to winning ways but history could have a larger say in this encounter.
For Petros Koukouras’ charges, they will be aiming at running further away from the relegation zone.
But in order to achieve this, they will have to put away their chances in the game.
Police FC lie 14th on the Log with 24 points in 26 games while SC Villa are just two points and places ahead of them in 11th with 28 points in 26 games as well.
