Ugandan forward Patrick Mulyanti has completed his move to Swedish Division 3 Norra Svealand side Sala Fotbollförening from IFK Ämäl.

The 22-year-old has put pen to paper on a one-year employment deal, with an option to extend for a further year by any of the two parties.

Mulyanti went to Sweden in 2014 to participate in the Gothia Cup as a 15-year old, after the tournament, he applied for asylum in Sweden and was successful in the division 3 team Hofors AIF.

Already as an 18-year-old, he became the top scorer in Division 3 Södra Norrland with 14 goals and 2 assists in 17 matches for his team.

His qualities made him interesting for clubs higher up in the league system. He auditioned with both Sandvikens IF (division 1) and AFC United (Superettan) and scored goals in both matches. After further test matches, he was finally recruited by Dalkurd FF before their second season in the Superettan.

Due to tough and stiff competition, he could not cement a permanent place in Dalkurd’s A-team for that season in the Allsvenskan, which again resulted in games in division 3.

In 2018, he chose to join Division 2 outfits Eskilstuna City FK to get more playing time before signing for IFK Ämäl the following year.
