Transfers: Mucureezi is officially a Royal

Paul Mucureezi has joined Fufa Big League side Kitara FC as a free agent leaving Vipers earlier this month.

This was confirmed by the Hoima entity on their different social media handles on Saturday.

The statement for Kitara reads.

The 30 year old’s stay at the Kitende based club was full of time in the sick bay and when okay was pushed aside by the stiff competition.

The former KCCA FC and Mbarara City midfielder is a two-time Uganda Premier league winner and 2019/20 with KCCA and 2021/22 with Vipers and also the Stanbic Uganda Cup during his time with the Venoms.

He’s Kitara’s third signing having already signed Godfrey Lwesibawa who joined from Gaddafi FC and George Senkabba from URA after letting their leading scorer Patrick Henry Kaddu (15 goals in 15games) join Kenyan giants Gor Mahia.

The club also brought in new gaffer Sam Simbwa after they had suspended their head coach Mark Twinamasiko for two months with immediate effect.

The Hoima side finished the first round with 31 points, one ahead of second placed Mbarara City from 15 games.

They also await to face Regional league side Free Stars Football Club in the Stanbic Uganda Cup on   Sunday.
