Defender Benon Tahomera joins BUL football club on a two year deal from Kyetume Football Club.

He becomes the sixth signing of the club. With the vast experience he is thought to have after playing for clubs like MYDA FC (2018)and Kyetume FC (2019).

Benon scored more than 10 goals as a defender in the past five seasons, something that attaches more value to him as a defender.

The skipper is also well known for his unique aerial abilities, calmness on the ball and neat passing, and without doubt will add on the depth and also improve the BUL defense that will compete in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Tahomera came out to show his ambition to win the league and defend the Uganda Cup saying;

I feel BUL is the right club I should play for. It’s one of the biggest in the country and always competitive on all fronts.

Playing for it is an honor for me. Now I want to win the league, defend the Uganda cup as well as put up a good performance in the confederations cup.

The team manager Alex Isabirye expressed his belief that the new defender will offer the right balance to the team saying ;

Tahomera can defend as well as score goals. He still has a lot to learn but he is a young player who can play football and has a lot of potential.

Last season we faced difficulties in defending and conceded a lot because we did not have the luxury to rotate, and that is why we are bringing in players like him who can defend very well.

Our team is now having a right mix of young and experienced players, and if we blend them together well, we shall get what we want.

BUL Football Club will represent Uganda at the CAF Confederation Cup group stage qualifiers after winning last seasons’ Uganda Cup something that is more reason for the club to beef up their squad.
