Katenga narrowly missed putting KCCA back in front, as his shot hit the side netting.

In the 20th minute, Saidi Mayanja’s powerful strike was deflected by the Kitara defense, keeping the score level.

Throughout the match, Kitara’s Omedi was a constant threat, keeping KCCA’s defenders on their toes.

The atmosphere at the stadium was electric as both teams pushed for the lead.

Despite KCCA dominating possession, Kitara had the more dangerous attacks.

In the 36th minute, Kitara took the lead through Ssemugabi, who finished off a well-placed pass from Omedi.

However, KCCA quickly leveled the score in stoppage time of the first half, as Bright Anukani converted a penalty following a faul on Etienne Katenga in the box by Kitara’s Otti.

The second half saw KCCA make a substitution, but Kitara remained determined.

Ssemugabi scored his second goal of the match, once again assisted by Omedi, to put Kitara ahead.

KCCA responded with a floating header from Hassan Muhamudu, which Kusiima couldn’t stop, leveling the score once more.

Kitara made tactical substitutions, including replacing Ssemugabi with Bwambale Lazaro and bringing on Frank Tumwesigye and Fred Amaku to control the pace of play.

Omedi had a chance to seal the win but was denied by KCCA’s goalkeeper Emojong. Tumwesigye’s well-delivered corner was also cleared by the KCCA defense.

The match ended in a 3-3 draw, but Kitara advanced on a 4-3 aggregate score.
