Tanzania Football Federation ( TFF) has sacked Danish tactician Kim Poulsen, it’s official.

The Federation announced the developments on Monday afternoon after Tanzania suffered a 1-0 loss to Uganda in a CHAN Qualifier first game played at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium on Sunday.

According to TFF, Poulsen will now coach the youth team until his contract expires in 2024 and has been replaced by Namungo’s Honor Janza who will be assisted by Meck Maxime.

” The Tanzania Football Federation ( TFF) has parted ways with the head coach of Taifa Stars Kim Poulsen and the entire bench and technical staff. Poulsen will remain as youth team coach until his contract expires” a statement from TFF read.

Poulsen replaced Burundian Ettienne Ndayiragije last year and he was handed a three-year employment deal.

But results haven’t come his way since his appointment as he has won only seven of his 19 games in charge

Poulsen leaves Tanzania sitting third of group F of the 2023 AFCON Qualifiers with just a single points garnered in two games. The side is also on the brink of missing out of CHAN qualification as they head to Uganda needing to beat their neighbors by more than two goals to secure their slot in Algeria next year.
