StarTimes UPL: Walusimbi strike hands Express first defeat of the campaign

  • Express 0-1 Maroons
  • Arua Hill 2-0 UPDF
  • Busoga United 2-1 KCCA

Solomon Walusimbi netted the only goal for Maroons as Express were handed their first defeat of the campaign at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Friday.

Walusimbi scored his goal with just 30 minutes on the clock from distance in a game that started half an hour later than the initial kick-off time which was 4pm.

Thé game started later than expected because of the heavy rain that sogged the field into partly distanced logged areas of the pitch.

However, this didn’t stop the Prison side from collecting their fourth win of the season to push Muhammad Ssenfuma’s charges to fifth with 14 points after eight games

For James Odoch’s team, they slip to sixth and remain with 12 points and a game less.

In their next game, Express will visit URA FC in Lugazi on 1st December whereas Maroons will be at home in Luzira as they await Mbarara City FC a day earlier.
