Startimes UPL: Villa pick up third straight win in Lira

It was a strikers affair as both Charles Bbale and Ivan Bogere got onto the score sheet to help SC Villa collect third straight win on Sunday .

This was the Joogos’ eighth win of the season as they won 2-0 against UPDF at Akii-bua Stadium in Lira.

With not a lot of action exhibited in openning half, Charles Bbale tapped home the first goal with 28 minutes on the clock to give Villa a lead before half time .

With 18 minutes left, substitute Ivan Bogere scored his first goal for the Club after coming on for Sheif Baate in the 60th minute .

This goal helped his side to seal 2-0 win against UPDF and collect third straight win and eighth of the campaign.

The result takes Jogoos up to fourth place with  23 points in 13 games this season while their opponents on the day UPDF continue winless run in 9 straight league games.

Jackson Magera’s charges will play URA next in Mukono, Nakisunga on 17th December. For Brian Sseyondo’s men, UPDF they will host Gaddafi on 14th December in Bombo.

In the other games, Gaddafi convincingly beat Blacks Power 3-1 at Kakindu while Maroons drew with Onduparaka 2-2 in Arua.
