StarTimes UPL: URA, Express share spoils in Ndejje

URA FC and Express FC played out a goalless draw at Arena of Vision, Ndejje University on Saturday afternoon.

The opening half, which was cagey, was dominated by URA as all the goal scoring fell to the Tax Collectors.

Defender Najib Fesali headed wide after a Saidi Kyeyune cornerkick in the 6th minute before Moses Sseruyinde wasted two chances to break the deadlock.

He put his effort wide after being found unmarked in the box by Kyeyune in the 15th minute before blazing a free-kick high in the 35th minute after Express goalkeeper Denis Otim handled the ball outside the area.

Cromwel Rwothomoi also had a chance but his acrobatic kick went just wide.

Express only attempt fell to Charles Musiige but couldn’t connect well with a long Godfrey Lwesibawa’s long throw.

Nil-nil, and the game went into the break.

Express returned from the break, a better side and started to dominated some of the proceedings.

They had the first attempt of the second as Murushid Juuko rose high but headed Lwesibawa’s corner just wide in the 57th minute.

Though Express dominated proceedings, the side failed to create enough upfront while URA resorted to counterattacks which were also ineffective.

The game ended with no scores for both sides.

With a dull draw, URA move to 8th spot on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League log with 13 points in 8 games. They will play Onduparaka next in Arua.

While, Express who remain 6th on the log with 16 points in 10 games will host Gaddafi FC next.
