BUL FC VS SC VILLA

Eastern Giants BUL FC will host SC Villa in the Startimes Uganda Premier League at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

BUL who are top of the log have scored nine(9) goals in three games, the most so far this season  and will hope to add to that tally when they meet the second best team in the league this season.

Ahead of the game Alex Isabirye spoke to the Club media and urged his side to be cautious;

This match is going to be like a final with both teams fighting for the top position. We are currently tied on seven points with SC Villa and this makes it a hard one,”

They are winning their games and they have gone three without conceding but we are prepared and expecting to win.

We are leading the table; that implies we are good but it doesn’t mean we are going to be there all time – we have to be very cautious.

“It’s too early and there is a lot of competition although we have the ability to consolidate our grip on that top rank.”

They will continue to relay on their front trio of Richard Wadyaka, Jerome Kirya and Karim Ndugwa who have all started the season in fine form each player scoring an average of one goal per game.

On the other side, BUL will play another unbeaten team in SC Villa who have won two of their first season games against Gaddafi FC and Express FC.

This will be their second game away from home having drawn the first one this season in Bombo against Onduparaka, hoping they can collect a win after being boosted by the home win against rivals Express FC.

Midfielder Ivan Sserubiri who did well in the middle of the park against Express will be the player to watch if he can replicate that performance on the side of the Jogoos.

Last game.

BUL FC drew away from home 1-1 to the tax collectors while SC Villa matched on with all the bragging rights in the Kampala derby after a 2-0 win at home to rivals Express FC.

What will a win do?

A win for BUL FC will keep them at the top of the table while for SC Villa it will take them above the Eastern Giants.

TEAM NEWS.

SC Villa will continue to be without their goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige who is away with the Sand Cranes team.

For BUL FC, all players are available for selection apart Richard Ayiko who also missed the previous game.

WAKISO GIANTS vs BLACKS POWER

The two bottom clubs in the League will face off at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakiso as they target their first wins this season.

Unlike Blacks Power who have played three games, the Purple Sharks of Wakiso Giants will be playing their second game of the season.

Without a win so far, they will look to collect first against a side that has struggled throughout the season ongoing 2022/23 campaign.

On the other side, Blacks Power will be boosted by the fact that they acquired a new head coach, Hussein Mbalangu who comes in with lots of experience having coached teams like Mbarara City and Arua Hill.

Blacks Power just like Wakiso Giants will look to  grab their first win of the campaign having collected a draw on the last Match Day against Bright stars, a result that can boost their confidence.

Last game

Wakiso Giants drew 0-0 with Maroons FC while Blacks Power drew 1-all with Bright Stars in a game where we saw their striker Faisal Muwawu score his first goal in two seasons.

What would a win do?

A win on either side will put the team on 4 points and straight to 8th in place of Arua Hill SC.

But will continue to be without Joshua Lubwama Letti and Samson Kirya who are away with the Sand Cranes.
