StarTimes UPL : The West Nile derby is on as Onduparaka host Arua Hill.

One of the most anticipated games of MATCH DAY 28 in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League is going to be played on Friday as Onduparaka FC host Arua Hill SC in the West Nile derby at the Aba bet Greenlight Stadium, Arua.

Arua Hill SC who were promoted to the top flight this season look more organised than the other sides who have made their debuts in this campaign.

As a reward for that, it is safe to say that the Kongolo are staying in the League for the upcoming season with 46 points in 27 games played this season at the moment something that a debutant in the league priotises above everything.

Just like in the first leg, Onduparaka take on a side that is full of confidence with no loss in their last 10 games (6 draws and 4 wins)

Speaking to the club media Arua Hill Captain Wahab Gadaffi came out to say that on their side, this is an important game just like any other game in the League.

We feel normal it’s a derby and of course it’s going to have a lot of tensions. As players we are not on any pressure, we are going to approach the game, the coaches have prepared us to make sure that we achieve our target of the season of course it’s an important game just like any other game in the League.

The Caterpillars on the other side, who were once of the favourites to be relegated this campaign, have blown hot and cold with the second round being their brighter part.

The return of  Shaban Muhammad is the key that has unlocked all their tasks of the year 2022, a performance that has put him in the race of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League golden boot race.

This is going to be the second West Nile derby of the season after the first ended in stalemate at the Barifa Stadium.

Onduparaka lie 8th on the Log with 34 points in 27 games.

Last result.

Onduparaka lost 2-0 at home to League Champions Vipers SC in their last game while Arua Hill SC won their last game against relegation threatened Mbarara City FC at the Barifa Stadium in Arua.

What would a win mean.

A win for Arua Hill would take them to 4th in place of BUL FC, level on points with URA FC in third while a win for Onduparaka FC would lift them to 7th in place of Wakiso Giants FC five behind Express in 6th.

Team news.

Onduparaka will be without long term absentees Rashid Agau and Rashid Okocha.

For Arua Hill they will also be without Rashid Toha who has accumulated yellow cards and Ibrahim Faizul who is out for the rest of the season.

Onduparaka FC- Mathias Muwanga, John Rogers, Patrick Matovu, Rashid Yakin, Dennis Ojara, Davis Mayanja, Mansour Safi Agu, Norman Ojik, Shaban Muhammad, Emmanuel Okech, Ivan Okello.

Arua Hill SC- Richard Anyama, Farouk Musisi, Bright Vuni, Ibrahim Magandaazi, Geringa Atendele, Ibrahim Thembo,  Rashid Kawawa, Alfred Leku, Wahab Gadaffi, Allan Mugalu, Ivan Eyamu.

In the other game of the day, the Soldier boys, Gaddafi FC who are just three points above the relegation zone will host bottom side Tooro United FC at the Gaddafi Arena in Jinja.
