Rahmat Ssenfuka netted the lone goal for Wakiso Giants as they edged past UPDF FC 1-0 at the Bombo military grounds.
Ssenfuka’s strike came in the 77th minute to win the game and consequently extend UPDF’s winless streak to 12 league games.
The game had few chances and most of them fell to the visitors Wakiso Giants.
Joshua Lubwama had the game’s first attempt that drew a brilliant save by Brian Bwete.
Sam Ssenyonjo failed to find the target before the break while also Moses Aliro and Frank Ssebuufu had their attempts saved.
UPDF were almost nonexistent thoughtout the game as they failed to size up any meaningful attempt at goal.
The victory takes Wakiso Giants to 6th on the log with 33 points in 21 games.
While UPDF remain 9th with 23 points but are now five points above the relegation zone.
Elsewhere, Bright Vuni netted the lone goal as Arua Hill defeated Soltilo Bright Stars 1-0 at the Barifa Stadium in Arua.
