StarTimes UPL: Shaban scores a first as KCCA add more salt to Onduparaka’s wounds

Mohammad Shaban scored his first goal for KCCA FC since returning to the cub as they defeated Onduparaka 2-0 in a league game played at Bombo Military Barracks on Friday

The other goal was scored by Allan Okello to open the scoring on the day.

Okello scored from the spot after Rogers Mato was tripped down in the area Rashid Okocha. The youngster stepped up and sent goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga the wrong to break the deadlock.

Few minutes afterwards, Shaban got his name on the score sheet after running onto a brilliant Okello ball to slot past Muwanga for KCCA’s second.

In the second half, Shaban had a chance to get his second of the day but he was denied by Muwanga after being released by Mato.

With this victory, KCCA go top of the log with 22 points in ten games while Onduparaka remain bottom with just two points this season.

KCCA will play Express FC next while Onduparaka will battle Vipers in Kitende.
