KCCA and Police FC played to an entertaining 1-1 draw at the MTN stadium, Lugogo on Tuesday afternoon

Juma Balinya scored for the hosts while Ashraf Mugume netted for KCCA.

Both side netted in the first ten of the game to set up a persetting start to the game.

Ashraf Mugume curled his freekick into the back of net after Davis Kasirye was fouled just outside the box by George Kiryowa in the 4th minute.

Two minutes afterwards, Police drew level from Juma Balinya’s penalty kick who sent Benjamin Ochan the wrong way following Usama Arafati’s foul in the forbidden area.

The Kasasiro Boys had several chances to go ahead before the break, but Kasirye blazed over following Patrick Kaddu’s headed flick while Sadat Anaku missed the target.

1-all and the game went into the break tightly poised.

At restart, KCCA coach Kaddu Badru made a double introduction to bring on Filbert Obechan and Roger Mato for Kasirye and Wafula respectively.

While Abudallah Mubiru, the Police FC gaffer got Tom Mawejje on for Frank Kalanda.

Mato almost put KCCA ahead in the 50th but he failed to head on target following Brian Majwega’s cross.

Despite dominated the game’s proceedings, KCCA struggled to create enough chances in order to restore their lead.

Mugume had KCCA’s next chance in the 65th minute but he blazed his effort wide.

Police almost won it at the death but Ochan made a wonderful save to deny Mawejje’s thunderbolt.

The result means KCCA has once again reclaim the league summit from Vipers as they still sit second on the log with 42 points, a point below the Venoms.

Police moves to 23 points and now sits 9th on the log.
