Former player and now new Express FC head coach James Odoch will lead the Red Eagles for the first time as they play away to Busoga United in Jinja.
Odoch replaced Wasswa Bbosa early this week after the title-winning manager was relieved of his duties by the Express management.
He will be eyeing a strong start and has dubbed it a tougher tie as he will be facing relegation-threatened side away in Jinja.
In his words on Thursday he said, “The game is going to be tough, my history tells me we’ve always had a tough time when playing away in the East,”
“Busoga is a good team despite their league position but according to the training we’ve done, the boys are in good shape and I believe we shall win the game.”
On the other side, Busoga United have been struggling with consistency on the field of play while of recent there have been reports in the Busoga United camp over administration wranglers.
The team will hope strikers Anwar Ntege and Shaka Ssozi are at their best as they target maximum points. This side lies second from the bottom, two points adrift of safety and will hope to thrive on home support at Kakindu.
Head coach Abbey Kikomeko will look for how to gain from a recent slip in form for the Red Eagles to earn his side, who are winless in last three a positive result.
In the first round game at Betway Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku, Kambale scored a brace as Express beat Busoga United 4-0 in December last year.

Busoga United will welcome back Anthony Mayanja who has recovered from a groin injury as Coach Abbey Kikomeko also returns to the dugout after missing the Onduparaka game.
While the Red Eagles will still be without captain Enock Walusimbi who is engaged with team FUNDI in Spain while Arthur Kiggundu and Eric Kenzo Kambale are also still out.
